Gold Selling/powerleveling

I have lost track of how many tells i have had for a xertain site from people like Wkhfewbfj and Lofnetaceje etc. Each one gets reported straight away, but now i am starting to get mail from the daft buggers in game...there is me thinking 'ooh that cloak just sold' so i make my way to a mail box and i get some missive with worse spelling and grammer than my cat would produce!

Ban the whole lot of 'em!

I have to apologizes I got my numbers wrong. the gold sellers lost 500 BILLION of in game money, and the only change was they advertised that there may be a short delay for some orders to be completed.

If they are simply talking about a "Pay $xxxx and we will get you to level xxx" then I fully support it.

In game and legitimate powerlevelling I would have a serious issue with.

Sorry for the lateness to this post, sleep called out to me when I got home from work...

Power Leveling

For me Power Leveling has 2 meanings, 1) Paying a 3rd party (ie player) to fully control your character in all ways to get you from your current level to X level. In order for this to occur you have to give said party your account login information, according to the EULA and the TOS this violates the contract you agree to every time you enter the game. Doing this gives Sigil and SOE every right to ban you and delete your account from the servers. I agree with this for several reasons first among them is that you are giving a stranger private access codes to your account allowing them to do what every they want to or with your character. They can sell off all of your characters equipment and supplies and give to money to another player, or they can use your account to hack the game to cheat thus causing you untold amounts of grief. If and when Sigil and SOE find out that your account was used to hack the game (and you gave the hacker your codes), they can charge you with being an accessory to computer crime and thy can also sue you for damages and the like. I don't know about the rest of you but I am not a millionaire and could not afford the Law Suit.

The Second from of "Power leveling" is having a high level player babysit you and or your party as you take on challenges that you normally would not do. This form of Power leveling dose not violate the EULA or the TOS, and while I will not seek out parties that have a Power leveler on hand or for my self. I would not alert any GM's or the Sigil staff about this as it actually dose require players to work together in game, and while it dose rob players of valuable learning experience (i.e. someone screwed the pouch and our party got wiped) people can still learn from there mistakes.

I think that this is enough for now, if you want any more reasons why I think the first form of Power Leveling is wrong post here and let me know.

The banning has nothing at all to do with ingame pwrlvl'ing with you asking a high level to "help" you. That's a choice you have to make yourself! Personally, I don't like that choice, either, but...that opens a personal opinion mill!

It's exactly what Robi outlined in his first scenerio! Major no-no!
