Thumbs down Fatal Flaw - No Ingame Support

yesterday I was unfortunate to find out the fatal flaw with this game - there is no in game support. Get stuck, have a problem? You're on your own. This is the worst experience I have had in this regard with any MMO.

This is what happened: While in town, i hit the recall button. And died instantly on the spot. What? PvP? No. So I hit release. And died again. And lost more xp. What? This can't be happening. Hit release again. Died. Again. Died. Big red bar. Ok, I'll wait the 10 minutes. tick, tick, tick. ding. Dead again. Ok Ill log out and reenter. Still dead.

When this first happened I did the /petition route, explaining that I was dead and couldn't rez. Also did /bug. Nada.
An hour later. Nada
The next day. Nada.

Is SoE the company that is supposed to handle ingame support?

Their lack of ingame support is pathetic. It's like BMW built and sold a car but if you got a flat, there were no replacement tires anywhere.

How about you guys at SoE quit being so cheap and short sighted and stupid, and providing some real time help?

And while an ingame player eventually rezzed me, I still have a huge XP deficit. And I'd like to know WTF HAPPENED?

FYI, the ingame support is Sigil, SOE only handles techinical support.

The whole worlds problems can't be laid at the feet of SOE, as satisfying as that may be.

OK, let me revise it to this: SoE, how about not being so cheap and short sighted and stupid, and force Sigil to do something better than a shitty job on in game support?

Yes people do blame alot on SoE when its probably Sigil that should be asked things such as these.

But I cant help but feel that SoE puts so much pressure onto sigil that they suffer with problems like this!

Not a day goes by when I dont see someone asking for GM support for issues such as these..

If anyone does get in-game support... please let us know!.. There should be a Wikipedia entry.

Besides, Sony are probably distracted by the fact that their new playstation is being out sold nearly 3 fold by nintendo's Wii..

Sony should never have gotton into the games industry.

Again, CS is NOT Sony, it's Sigil!

Look, the greeting message you get when you log in tells you explicitely that bugs will not be responded to, they should be /bugged. Period.

And after the first time you should have learned not to hit recall

I dont know if English is your first language, so I will try to speak slowly and clearly:
1. /bug is not /petition.

2. I hit recall once. I died. I tried to rez, hit the release button. My char instantly went to the rez area and died instantly. I tried waiting for the timer to run. Rezd and died. Tried logging out and back in. Still dead.

Get the picture?

Next: Do other MMOs offer in game support? Yes. Not this game, apparently. It pretends to.

They should just delete the /petition feature and make it known that if you are stuck, can't play, etc. you are on your own.

And I don't fall for the mutual finger pointing between SoE and Sigil. Either, or both, is reponsible.

I might be compelled to go find some figures. India is up and coming in the science & mathematical fields, so perhaps we could have a little less racism?

A little less hate-filled shrieking might be good too. I understand that the OP is wildly frustrated, and I'm pretty sure I would have wanted to throw things (bless my battered cordless mouse ), but again, ONE experience does not a trend make. I've had very positive customer service experiences here *and* in EQ2 and really bad ones in WoW.

Note that if you've petitioned something that totally prevents you from playing a char, as in the above-mentioned issue, it's wise to play alts for a while. Not just because you have no choice, but because in-game contact is the primary means GMs have of getting hold of you, and they can easily find out who your alts are and whether you're online. Mentioning your Station Name will no doubt help also, if you haven't already.

Anyway, schoolmarming on behaviour aside, I really hope this gets sorted for you. That's a horrible roadblock to encounter.

I have to admire you Drunkensot, I'd probably quit if that happened to me. I know the system message when you log in says bugs won't be responded to, but when a bug makes sure the next week of leveling you do is null, they'd better respond.
