Ranger PVP build...how to be the numba one stunner-im the 1 asking YOU!

Lol pretty self explanatory.
Ive seen some uber sick rangers running around. ( that i own like hell cuz i got the ac and hp for 5 of them put togehter). I was jw, what is the best pvp build out there for a ranger.

What crafting class should i choose+ harvesting class?
What are the primary attributes i should put points in?
What are the secondary?

Should i use the best 1h +1h dps weapons? Or rely mainly on a bow.
Any where i can learn more about ranger kiting and snaring?

I know some of u rangers out there are uper pimps dishing out at least 1.5k dmg on average.

So i was hoping for some pointers.

Well whatever you do, don't rely on the dot/root we have as it is harder to raise the skill for it than it would be the Titanic, ergo it gets resisted 80%+

Then there is the squishiness factor....we are designed as dps machines and don't have much ability to soak up insane ammounts of damage that a pally has with heavy armour.

Oh and then our heal....3 sec cast, a pittiful ammount initially...at 23 i get 191pts then virtually nothing over the next 12 seconds...again at 23 i get maybe 50hp per 4 secs for 12 secs.

Honestly, I don't think its the skill here. I'm not even a Ranger, I'm a DK, and my Snare spell also gets resisted 80%+ of the time. And conversely, my Fear/Dot is almost never resisted. Pretty sure snares/roots all have a base resist value that's through the roof compared to other spells.

I do think that its the spells skill lvl vs the mob lvl that has a big effect. My conjuration is at 69/260 and the root/dot sucks in the same way that i would keep swinging and missing if i had a weapon at that level and tried to hit a lv 26 mob.

Sorry, let me clarify. My conjuration, which is used for Abyssal Chains, is at maximum (I cast it usually three times per fight, easy) and it is still resisted at least 90% of the time vs. mobs lower level than me. I actually once had a fight where I counted 12 resists in a row, at max skill. I ran out of mana... I just cast and cast and cast, and it just resisted over and over. But this isn't even against mobs only. In PvP its not even worth casting it, because even if I manage to land the snare it wears off of players almost instantly.
