That aside this is why many soloists never group as they don't want to be shunning for not "knowing" their skillz. (the Z is intentional) |

Re: I'm a solo player on a MMORG!
Sorcs aren't healers, so technically it's not such a sharp divide you're quoting.
![]() That said, it took me back to the good oooold days of *cough* tabletop gaming conventions (GenCon and the like) and premade chars -- the healer was ALWAYS female, and usually so was the mage. Yawn ![]() /derail off There is often some adjustment to be made when grouping, if one plays solo all the time. The converse is also true, though usually not seen by others. Sadly (cynical me) it's always easier for most people to criticise than it is to either shut up or, gods forbid, be helpful if they happen to think someone isn't playing to their full potential (assuming they're right, of course - armchair coaches ftw! ).Hokey or not, I think I'd group with just about anyone on these boards -- tolerance goes a long way with me, and we've got a lot of that here.

Most of the people I group with would be happy to have someone in the group who didn't "know their skillz." We're more than happy to help someone out, as long as they are willing to learn. While there definitely are some asshats out there, usually it's pretty easy to quickly tell who those are. Don't let something like that stop you from LFG, there's a lot of fun to be had and plenty of people willing to help ![]()
