sigh
I am about ready to give up. I have fought through all the crashes. All the group bugs and the crafting issues. I have dealt with the other stupid bugs I have encountered while playing. I like the game. Really, I do.
But today, while grouping with a friend, and attempting to "Kill the Coward" in Kojan, we ended up overpulling and dieing. No biggie really. Though, instead of being dropped at the altar near Tsang's tomb, I am dropped in the ocean, off the east coast of the main Kojani island. I amke it back to the west side and mount up, run through, loot my corpse and die out of aggro range so I can safely loot the corpse next time (corpse flopping). I get dropped in the ocean again and I start running through the forest, pass by Tsang's tomb when my friend resses me (Disciple). I accept and pop up at my tombstone and shift-right click to loot to. Anyhow, we decide to log, as I needed to eat, and he was fed up with the bugs. I come back just now and the only items on me are those in my saddlebags, and the few soulbound items I have. Check the altar. No corpses and no items in escrow. So I just lost 90% of my entire equipments (adventuring, harvesting and crafting) and I can't petition this. I am real close to telling Sigil where to stick it :-| |

Re: sigh
I'm pretty sure you can petition a lost corpse in this case since its not even on the altar summoning list. My friend died while crashing and when he came back the corpse was underground or somesuch thing, and the GMs were happy (Well, that's relative) to summon it to him.

Re: sigh
It is also possible that all your equips went invis. This has happened for no apparent reason before to people I have met in-game. A relog usually fixes that, so if you haven't checked, you should do that first.
If that doesn't show your items, definitely /petition it. The GMs are there for this sort of situation exactly. |

I know it's not funny but it is in a way. You die then to top it all off you res in an ocean. The game's way of sticking it to you. |

Re: sigh
The Hag's Coastline chunk on Qalia used to like doing this in beta, too. Not only do you die, you get punted waaaaaay out to sea, just as an added bonus.
This is something you definitely *can* and should petition, assuming your gear hasn't reappeared in the meantime.

Re: sigh
no, hes right..
I had exactly the same problem and I've literally stopped playing! Whats worse is that the devs say that "DONT /petition missing tombstones".. wtf? I have 3 months subscription so I cant just top, but I am gona wait a month or so. I re-log every now and then and check out the forums trying to re-kindle that desire I had.. but its a very hard pill to swallow. |
