Hmmm, I think the point of my e-mail has been missed.

I am not asking for the quest XP to be increaed back, I am asking for more quests. See topic title

I also suggested a two tier system where people who really want to level slow, can pick HARD at character creation and level slower but get better drops and quest rewards.

I don't mind levelling slowly, I just want the journey to be interesting. Camping a spot and killing the same mobs for three of four hours to get XP isn't my idea of fun.

They said they were going to 'hike it up' they did so.
They then saw that 'oops' it was too high (perhaps an unreset dev-testing value) and FIXED it back to their intent: HIGHER than prepatch but lower than the MISTAKEN value it was rolled out with.

DAMN... hehe I was leveling an alt to the low teens on the weekend - if I had known this, I would have played Thurs and leveled him fast to speed to swap out the current guy I have in my 'regular night grp' heheh Well, even with limited playtime on the weekend he is only 4 levels short of goal of 14.

I ended up grinding Civ Thurs-Fri so didn't even know

They raised it more than intended, so they lowered it again. It is higher than we started with, but not as high as it was just after the patch.

I agree that more quests would be nice, particularly for crafters since we have so few, but the OP is looking for solo content, which defeats the purpose of an MMO. This isn't meant to be a solo game, as has been mentioned.

The idea of choosing a harder game with better drops is interesting, but inherently unfair. If you have a raid with half easy-mode and half hard-mode players, what determines the drop? It must either be better than the easy players should get, or worse than the hard players should, or both.

As for more quests, I'm supprised about how many quests I've found that arn't announced. For example, the lesser giant in the VOH camp gives a quest (that can't be completed...) but I didn't know until I was already out and near Veskells Exchange.

huh ?

Goto ANY starting region and you will find TONS and TONS of quests..

I finished all starting quests in kojan, and whent to thestra.. and there were TONS more..

Goto Qualia,... even more!.. and as you level up you can go back and... suprise suprise there are yet more quests available!

The content is most definatly there, you just need to open your eyes mate..

The problem is not a lack of content, its deciding which continent you are going to stick to! because you simply cant do them all.

And thats not even mentioning the diplomacy quests and crafing quests..

I just got to say, I don't agree with that at all. If it isn't part of the MMO, then why is it here in Vanguard in the first place. Many, many players use solo content to gain xp and to enjoy the game when not grouping. Many players can't find a group or are waiting on freinds/ guild members to come online and group, they use solo content to fill in the time. There are many players like me who solo, but want the feel of a real world with real characters running around that you don't get in a Single player game. Solo content does not defeat the purpose of a 'Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game', its a big part of it.

Sorry, I just can't do with people saying solo content has no part in an MMORPG.

I didn't say that solo play has no place. I said that this isn't a solo game. Vanguard is, by its very nature, a group-oriented game. There are reasons, as those you mentioned, to have solo content, but that shouldn't be the primary mode of play for most people.

Your opportunity wasn't missed at all. Leveling is still easier then pre-patch, and Sigil has it's first XP event coming this weekend.
