how to level
I didn't have a problem from 1-11 but now i'm stuck
I've been at 11 for about 6 hours played time. Last night I did 4 missal quests at veksals exchange with a 13 warrior and a 12 pally. my XP bar was going up by 1% every 6 spiders at the end of the 4 quests I had an extra 5 % handing in the quests gave me another 3% (yea only 3% for 4 quests) considering the spiders were level 12 i'm surprised at this. Where should I go to get a quick XP boost. Not that I want to powerlevel but it's been nearly a week at the same level and I want to see my new spells hehe. Also crafting at level 6 I did a MOD WO and it give me 3 xp at hand in. I then did another MO WO and it only gave me 1 xp at hand in, how is it calculated? I know the saying a watched kettle never boils still i see people posting about how to do level 20 quests and I wonder how they get so high ![]() |

Re: how to level
If there are no quests left for you to do at Veskal's at 11 then you'll need to get at least 12 before you can start the Verdant Lurker quest chain from Veskal, and then there's the quests for the bigger spider caves that I forget the name of.
That chunk should provide you with enough content to go through up to around 15 or 16 and lead you over to Misthaven or Kaon's Rush. If you prefer you can follow the roads through Leth Nurae out towards Renton Keep, Three Rivers Village and Themnwar's Shield. There will be plenty for you to do out there, and there's always Riftseekers Torrent, a level 10+ dungeon just outside Tursh.

Re: how to level
Level 11 seems to be sort of tough - skills (and gear) seem to be much less effective than they were against critters level 10 and under, which is true, so we have a harder time getting through stuff. I had the same effect on my bard the other day - so much so that I thought geez, suddenly I can't kill anything, and what I *do* kill takes forever!
So I geared up a bit, which helped immensely, certainly for an offensive fighter - the effect may not be as noticeable on a caster or a healer. My cleric is still level 11 and I've noticed stuff has slowed down for her too. I think it's just one of those "tier boundaries" we have to get through. I know that at level 12 stuff suddenly speeded up again for the bard, and she's either 13 now or almost there, just from questing and killing stuff alone. Hang in there. ![]()

Re: how to level
Another thing (just from your post) you were grouping with 2 other people. Make sure your at least killing 3 dot mobs a lvl or 2 higher. If you're killing 2 Dot mobs with 3 people, you're just killing your XP.
I had 'heard' consequetive missive turnins (the same missive) give you less XP, so grinding on missives isn't really a good idea. I haven't heard solid proof of this though. |

Re: how to level
I have also heard that missives aren't the best way to go.
Since you're already in Veskal's, why not just play in Jade Depths? I was able to successfully solo there (including Spinthra, the first named) as a 10 cleric. As you level, you can move further down and pick up more named... There are several decent loot drops there, including a belt from the second named that I'm still wearing at almost-18. (Not that I'm much good at the equipment game, so that might not mean much. ![]() Any time you run out of quests, moving to a new location is an option. Three Rivers on the far side of Leth Nurae is good, as mentioned before... Or you can follow the path to the east (pick it up just south of Veskal's) and there's a little campout place where you can do the troll quests, among others. Mobs in the 12-13 level range, as I recall. |

Re: how to level
many thanks for all the tips.
I managed to level last night in both outfitting and adventuring. Good tip was to do difficult WO to C status which immediately starting giving much more xp than moderates. For adventuring I decided to go back to three rivers and do a few around there easy ones i could do quickly. Anyway i'm now level 12 and ready for the slog to 13 ![]() cya in telon |
