Re: Dual Loggin & Two Boxing - Your Thoughts
I ahve always thought the concept of 2 boxing a great one. It should not matter if poeple did not like it, you are the one paying for multiple accounts. On EQ I knew a few people that 3-6 boxed. It is something that makes sence to thoes that have found a schedule that finds little time, and or others to group with during your play time. ( just a hint though, do not run off a cliff or such things, auto follow can be a pain then.)

Re: Dual Loggin & Two Boxing - Your Thoughts
The only thing that bothers me with multi-boxing that I've noticed no one has brought up, is when it's in a group. I dual box a lot in EQ, but when I get in a group, I will usually drop one character. It's a personal preference, but I feel I'm cheating the group if I have 2 characters... Unless needed and they want me to keep both characters going. Like on rolls, not being able to concentrate on 1 character(depends on the character, I play an enchanter) and the big thing for me, taking up a spot another person could fill and get experience for his character.
Otherwise, for that person to play by himself, if he can do it, then why not, he is after all paying for all the accounts and for the risk if he can't get to his healer in time, etc. That's just my 2cp. |

Re: Dual Loggin & Two Boxing - Your Thoughts
Why do people always get so wrapped around what everyone else does? In reality, does a person two-boxing actually take anything away from your game play that two people playing two accounts wouldn't? The answer is obviously no. One can not form a real complaint against two-boxing other than, "I just don't think he/she should". Or something to that extent. Someone brought up PvP and two-boxing/dual logging... ok lets examine: one guy on two accounts will have buffs as he goes to PvP. Advantage? I think not. The reality of it is, the person would get buffs even without a bot if he were so inclined. Vanguard buff system has no distance limitations whatsoever... therefore, if anything, the two-boxer/dual logger actually has a slight disadvantage. How? Chances are your not going to PvP alone, while it is implied that the two-boxer/dual logger would be alone. Now he is at a disadvantage of at least two to one. If you happen to be one of the few "elitest" that chose to PvP alone, you have no right to complain. That is the road you chose to take. Not everyone is playing by your rules. Nor should they have to, if they chose not to. In short, instead of complaining about what other people are doing, play the way you want, and leave others to chose how they wish to play. If sigil/soe finds it inappropriate, im sure they will correct it in due time.
