Loosing XP?

First, i'm sorry if this is the wrong thread, i'm just curious if anyone else has ran into this problem.

And yes, the problem was /bug'd and /petition'd


So i was playing on saturday night, running from the house of falling petals in kojan up north towards tanvu. I crashed while running, no mobs aggro'd or anything. I logged back in, alive and well, but had gone from 59% xp (i was sure of this because i was looking forward to spending the attribute points soon) to 12% XP through level 12. I bugged and petitioned it, and logged off to go to bed a bit frustrated.

Sunday morning I logged on, and continued on the trek towards tanvu. Low and behold, I crashed again (wasn't an application crash either time. maybe thats the wrong word. Just a random boot to the char select screen.) I logged back in, and was 8% through level 12, another 4% loss. Also, it placed me in the middle of the ocean, and all my hotbars were cleared out. I went to recreate my hotbars, and surprise! I had no abilities listed in my skills/abilities book! I relogged, and fortunately, all my abilities returned. The XP was obviously not returned.

I rebugged and petitioned and have not heard anything back since.

I love the game a ton, and this is my first serious issue with it. The way i'm looking at it, i'm glad i lost the xp at level 12 when i could earn it back in an hour or two versus loosing 50% of a level at level 49 :susprised:

That said, has anyone else had this issue and managed to get their experience earned reinstated?

it's happened to a few, including me... and from the other posts i have seen in there other forums.. there's been no response so i gave up on getting any xp back myself.

Yup, something like this happened to me yesterday..

Unfortunatly I had died only 5 minutes before this crash... I had recoverd my tomb but after the crash all my recoverd XP had gone and ALL NON BOUND STUFF!!!!...

I have put a petition in.. I cant really continue my main character with non of his equipment.. and if it doesnt get resolved it will be a HUGE hit for me!.. the sort of hit which stops me playing a game.

I received an in game mail from a GM last night in response to my petition, which basically said "were sorry we can't help recover tombstones.. but were glad you got your hotbars back!"

So... i guess they read my petition.. just missed the part where i said about 3 times the xp loss wasn't related to a death, but a crash

Either way, i'm not sweating it too bad. I'm sure (praying) all these bugs will be worked out by the time it actually takes a long time to earn back missing XP.

As I said, this is my first serious problem with the game to date. I fully expected the first 1-4 weeks of the servers being live to be crashes, rollbacks, bugs and all kinds of madness, so overall i'm still VERY impressed with the sigil team

I did have a funny bug the other night though...
I made a new char and sent a tell to my buddy to invite me to the guild. He wrote back "dude your already in the guild."

"no.. i'm not"
"yes... you are... oren, level 13 disciple"
"no, dummy, i'm playing phaethon, lvl 1 warrior. "
"I'm getting tells from oren."
"????"

was weird. My tells were showing up as being from my other character. We both though the other was crazy.
