A few days ago I was questing with a fellow Dwarf paladin on some of the roads near Bordinar's Cleft.

( before i go any further i am very VERY impressed with this game)

We are hunting Outlaws, smashing heads and stabbing stomachs when suddenly i see a large outline of what looks to be a giant bird among some tall pine trees. I decide to get closer, and i saw a giant lvl 30 griffon flying above me casting a giant shadow.


Its things like these that i love about an MMO where Griffons roam the skies and Giant spiders fight soldier ants.


anyone else had some simple, "Holy **** this is cool" moments?

I've never seen spiders and ants fight (accually havn't seen giant ants yet, except dead in the Jade Depths).

But yes I have had a "awesome" moment when I was running away from a level 16 spider near the Tree of Life, and jumped in the river...only to be swept away by a strong current.

Never had a game where water accually had a real current before...

Speaking of water rides, I fell in the aquaduct in Leth Nurae and found myself hurled down the stream, through the catch pond, over the waterfall, and into the pool below. One wild ride.

Yeah I did this once after messing around and falling off the bridge. It was my first time in the city, and took me a bit to find the "proper" way back into it a few days later.

I was adventuring out toward Eastwatch & there was a giant Hunting Drake flying around, truly awesome. Did either of you guys survive your trip down the falls? I have a friend that didn't.

hehe for the leth waterslide.. i go all the way up to the top of it, use my speed buff and zoom down...

showed it to a fellow guildie.. he thought it a riot the first time.. he didn't go over the falls... then he tried it again.. and of course landed on the rocks(warriors.. all brawn and no brains) been down it about a dozen times and never a mishap on my part.. except getting back into leth

Ive seen Zihurr Soldier ants attacking anything besides Zihurr Harvesters that got near Zihurr ants. For example, soldiers pursue and eliminate giant spiders almost at will, and will also attack anything that comes out of Meadow Lake that gets too near the harvesters

didn't slide down water but down the side of a mountain near the coppertower in BC had to then run back to BC with my level 5 dwarf took more than 20 minutes
