Mount Level Requirements

I noticed the Minimum Level Required for mounts only applies to the adventuring level. I think this should also apply to the crafting level. I'm a 7 Adventurer and 25 Crafter. I should be able to ride the mount that has a minimum level required of 20. Especially since the crafting quests send you running the length of multiple continents.

Another thing. The horse speed upgrades didn't effect the rent-a-horse you can get from the taskmaster. It is still 40% speed.

Sooo... crafters get kinda screwed on the mount situation. We can get a rent-a-horse at 40% or we're forced to adventure to get a decent horse.

the diplo horse went from about 135.7 to 139.7.... not really much of a change there (started at 25% plus a pair of 5+ shoes)

I remember the diplomacy horse required level 10 Adventuring OR level 10 Crafting in beta. Does the same still apply?

I don't know, but when I first attempted to do the diplomacy horse quest I was only level 7. I had a message come up saying I could continue the quest when I reached level 10 in adventuring or crafting. So it might just be a bug that crafter levels don't count.

No, only adventuring level counts now. Level 10 crafters can "rent" temporary horses instead. I can't say I like it much either, but if I'm not careful I'll fall into my "it's the thin end of the anti-crafter conspiracy wedge!" thing and we don't want that.

The Varathari quested horse is now useable at level 7, as of last patch - just as well, since you can do that quest well before 10.

Has anyone actually seen a confirm that the horse speed increase was intentional? I find it hard to believe and am trying not to get too attached. Yet again, I thought the whole point was to make Telon seem large...

Ya lol. I finally have a real horse. I bought and I can use the level 20 one now. Same speed as the rent-a-horse cause they upgraded that one to 50%. I was going to keep using the rent-a-horse until I could buy the 1P horse but then I bought the real one when the speed was 70%... oh well.
