Infinium or Infineum
When the new EU server was brought online I'm sure it was called Infinium.
I created a char on it. Now the server appears to be renamed to InfinEum. I have a char on this server now with the same name as the one i first created. But ... The char on the "old" IfinIum server is still on my char list - and listed as on the Infinium server. Of course i can't play it as the char selection just hangs saying waiting on data from Infinium. This means I can't delete this char either. What is going on? |

Oh dear! That is a dilemma, I knew they changed the name, didn't know folks would have this problem! Will see what info I can dredge up!

So they DID change the name - thought I must have dreamt it.

I suspect it was mis-spelled to begin with. Infineum is an in-game term (you can craft Infineum items, for instance), and someone must have got the name wrong on the original server naming.
Daft mistakes & unforeseen effects. ;-)

Just for reference Infineum is a place, or number of places in Qalia such as the Infineum Plateau south of Ahgram.

I'm not sure the GMs in game will be able to do anything for you if you can't log that char in at all. Getting support from the official channels, though slow, is probably your best bet.
A couple of things though - you're not going through the Launcher for these char selections are you? If you just hit "Play" and wait for the char selection screen without picking a char from the Launcher's drop-down, can you manipulate the broken char at all, if only to delete them? (I don't actually ever use that launcher char-picker, so I don't even know if it works right. Just figured it was worth asking.) You *can* play the new chars you've made on the renamed server, right? If not, you're being WAY more patient than I would be! ;-)
