This poor launch doesn't surprise me...

As much as I like the game, it's nowhere near ready for launch come Tuesday. With all of the problems they are having right now, Tuesday is going to be a disaster. Not surprised since SOE is backing it. They are the top dog when it comes to poor MMO launches.

I can only blame myself though, I suppose I'm a sucker for punishment. Anything associated with the SOE label means you're going to be heavily beta testing for the first six months.

imo this has been a good PRE-launch, apart from the euro servers having a few probs, when in its been running real smooth for me

but its not gonna please everyone

Could you be more specific, What problems are you having explain EXACTLY why this isn't ready for launch, Because from EVERYTHING i've read it's all good news.

Other than the fact that when we flooded the servers with logon requests, they immediately went down, I haven't had any problems. XD

Really, though, I have had much worse experiences in games than I am having with this one. Good game, good system, good Vision(TM)... Nothing is perfect; if I could pick flaws, a bad start beats a bad game any day.

Some further ruelsets could have been tested more in beta as far as PVP. On the pvp server we are having a lot of issues as far as dying and being sent to all different locations. Also they have implemented a coin loot but the banks currently dont allow us to store our money at them. The pve servers from what i hear have been doing well they just need to tweak out the pvp in my opinion.

As far as Im concerned even though this is a pre release its been about the smoothest MMO launch I have been apart of. Up until today the server Im on has been perfect. Hell the performance boost from beta till now in itself is amazing. Everything is smoother and running great.

I mean to expect 0 problems at launch is kinda...well crazy and the fact that most of not all of the beta players got into the pre release means that there are alot of players playing and the fact things have gone this well is amazing. They let us in early for 4 days and that gives then that time to tweak for tuesday so when the next wave of players come in things wont go to hell.

If the past two days are any indication of what we have to look forward to then Im gonna be playing this game until they unplug the servers years from now and have no choice.

IMO this is a great pre-launch launch. We are getting a head start as thanks for being in beta, they get to fix any major issues that arise before the general public comes in.

Ans as said above, things run soo much smoother than beta with many more people on the servers, the game finally has a sense of being polished. I am very impressed
