EU servers still down

Euro servers should be up and locked in about 25-30 minutes. Once that has happened we can just unlock them and folks can start logging in again.

The reason they have been down is just some logistical issues with having the servers in Amsterdam rather than here in San Diego. Folks want servers located in Europe, but they want us to be able to work with them as if they were in San Diego. Its a balancing act, and it takes some time to perfect.

Fortunately, you should all be pleased to know that the European servers are also going to be upgraded at the end of the weekend (4am Monday, Amsterdam time). So at the very least, there's that.

LOL we only want servers based in Europe to reduce ping rate and have patches outside our peak play times. Ping rate is no better and patching mid evening on a weekend is hardly ideal.

Very true, I'd imagine that once most of the initial problems are ironed out over the next few days, we'll have patches mainly on Tuesdays like other SOE products, but who knows.

I did have expectations when I made the decision to go for pre-order. there was a deal, I preorder, sigil give me 3 days play prior to release. As it is Europeans have temporary servers which are not stable or fit for purpose.

im just as bit disappointed as u mate, but im not gonna keep crying about it

i cancelled pre-order today for standard version and ive just pre-ordered collectors edition instead, coz from first impressions this game is GOOOD
