Really Newb Question! Help!

I know player housing is/is going to be in the game, but is it already in it now? If not, when will it be? Give me some info please, I can't find any! Thanks!

Re: Really Newb Question! Help!

By the end of beta, I believe a few crafters had managed to get high enough and finish the housing quests that a handful of houses had been built.

The rough outline of what to do:

- Search all over Telon until you see a clickable signpost in an empty area. Usually there will be more than one in a patch, and if you're in a housing development, you'll even see a housing broker, a bindstone, and a mailbox.
- Decide whether you can afford the plot (listed in copper pieces). Last I saw, the cheapest was 1 gp, usually 2.5 or 10 gp. If you don't like the price, try a different zone, farther away from interesting places.
- Purchase the plot and pay upkeep
- Once crafters have made it through the lengthy process of leveling and questing for the recipes (absolute minimum level 20, probably quite a bit higher), hire one to make tons of bricks and a cornerstone. You will need lots of raw (tier 3) stone, as well, including some rare stone, so get harvesting.
- Start adding materials to your construction site until the house is completed

There may be other things of importance, but this is probably enough to get you started. And do note that this is info from beta, so things may change a lot by the time you're able to get construction going.

Re: Really Newb Question! Help!

I wonder are houses able to have locking doors on them? Im on a PVP server where there is really no safe place to afk at. If it was possible to hide out in my house afk without risk of being killed I think that would be great. Maybe set up a chainlink fence with a 3 dot guard dog!
