Your first day impressions

Just wanted to see what everyone thought of the first day of Live.
- I got in 8 hours of play in Khal with my Bard and wanted to compare my impressions with others.

* Lots of competition for early quests - both kills and "harvest" type. Yet, even with the heavy load, people seemed polite and groups formed quicky to maximize kills.

* Quivers, anyone see any quivers. I couldn't find a ranged vender in Khal and no other vendors carried quivers. Anyone else?

* WAS AMAZED at people that got guild started already.. within 4 hours of start I might add - I'm impressed, lot of loot in such little time.

*Overall, game seemed tighter then it was in beta.

- What do the rest of ya think

I was completely stoked when the screen saying all worlds were up finally appeared! woohoo! so i joined the shidreth server and created my korishasa ranger. (did i spell that right? lol) i haven't had any issues except for one quest. ("proof is in the pain". anyone else have any issues with that?) i found a dealer with all of my ranged needs no problem. have you tried a direction giving npc yet? should help if you haven't. but my kitty cat hits hard! game's way smoother than the beta, for sure. i just need another 512 of ram and i should be beautiful.

I was impressed! I've been in beta for a while now, and we were all just shaking our heads, but the Sigil gang REALLY came thru! I'm sure they're going to be so excited to actually go home and SLEEP for a full night here soon! I'd venture to say that, for some, they might have been able to do that tonite, IF they can sleep from the excitement of a good pre-launch!

Yeah loved it got to level 10 in 10 hours playing solo. i must go to bed now as its 7.16 am lol. Played a blood mage its so cool . shame about the EU server but oh well. Hope i dont need rehab in a few months lol.
oh and i got my mount its the dogs nuts

Guys, I loved it. I'm sure it's going to be even better when I find the cash to upgrade my video card.

Vanguard still needs a bit of tweaking and ironing out here and there, and obviously the devs are going to keep at it. But I am very impressed. All these naysayers can go and eat their twisted knickers now. Thanks to Sigil for working so hard.

Here is a list of minor improvements I feel could be considered at some point (nothing urgent). These aren't bugs, but there's always room for improvement hey?

- The quest journal
I find that when I accept a new quest, I have to go into the quest journal to turn on tracking. Maybe this could be done automatically (of course include a switch in the options to turn that option on/off).

- Going AFK
I find I always forget to type /afk when I go AFK or when I come back I forget to turn off the AFK flag. Maybe that could be improved by setting the flag automatically - a bit like WoW does.

Other than that, I can't really think of anything. I'm going to start my guild today when I'm able to find the guild registrar in or near Tursh. I hope Sigil put in some top-class guild tools.

Kidddddin, I actually slept last night, It's 8 am i woke up at 6 and immediately ran here to see if anyone posted there experiences only to find hardly anyone posted, Apparently they're all still on *giggles*

I didn't end up playing all that much last night for one reason & another - though when I finally did play for a bit, it seemed we'd missed the first mad rush, which was really nice.

Like others, I've noticed a pretty significant smoothness boost in play. I'm still crashing now and then but hey, I've got used to that.
