Don't sweat the 8-hour patch part, Blood. It'll still have any files that you've previously downloaded - you should be able to pick back up where you left off.

i dont think its doing that ive tried it twice now , same error...is there any manual way of patching?

dont worry about the length - it will scan itself and only get the files it needs...you just have to restart it when it hangs. when i first did mine, it took me about 36 hours to finish - not constant but just from the hangs.

i went to bed and restarted in the morning - and restarted at lunch - after work it was done.

No, you can't download the file and apply it (as we often did with WoW). Did you have any luck with the file scan?

I patched for literally 20 hours, And it still said i had 10 hours left. So i closed it, It patched up in less then 30 minutes! The patching is all over the place i guess hehe...

Kittens are good. Second chances are better. We all make mistakes - not learning from them is the real idiocy, and it seems you have.

Bear in mind you're doing a pretty huuuuuge download, if you're getting this from scatch - it's going to take a while. And as others have said above, if it hangs or generally complains, close, restart, try again. Eventually the patcher will figure out what it needs and you'll be set. It may take quite a long time... but it'll be worth it in the end.

And yeah, as Kyle said - the patcher lies!!
