Why is nothing Simple?
I have watched with amazement the confusion over the launch of Vanguard. I have experienced the confusion with my pre-order cd where my group of friends all report a different experience when using the CD. we even had to phone the supplier to explain the need to send the pre-order CD early. Goodness what will happen tomorrow! None of us are confident we have completed the procedure properly. I am not sure how I will even launch the game. I and my other friends in the Uk had difficulty even getting Pre-launch which appeared at one time to be a US only feature. Electronic preload seemed to exclude Guild collectors version.
We are determined to get in the game but others who are less certain will not be impressed. |

Re: Why is nothing Simple?
*hugs* hopefully it will all work out is all i can say. i'm not having the issues you are, but i was reading a great many posts about it through various forums as well as this one.
(please don't hurt me kethra!) it seems a lot are confused and feeling this way and the "offical" responses really don't seem to be clearing things up much. personally i'm a firm believer in murphy and sullivan's laws.. and someone should beat the crap out of those two... Murphy's law- anything that can go wrong will go wrong at the worst possible moment. Sullivan's law- murphy was an optimist.

Re: Why is nothing Simple?
From experience, The reason things aren't easy, What would you learn if things were simple? Probably nothing. Life is one giant lesson wether it be complications through small things, Or difficulties through big things. For me, I always find i get down, And soon enough after i pick up my pieces i'm back on track. Everquest 2, Bought it, Couldn't run it, Upgraded, Computer didn't work after upgrades, Went through a long process of nonsense to get to where i was, But you know what? In the end, It was all worth it.

Re: Why is nothing Simple?
I dunno, working with online webstuff there's always something that seems to go wrong... granted it could be a lot better than it is, but still. I wouldn't be surprised even if your account on SOE said "Your account is flagged for early access." people would still get blocked trying to log on somehow and there'd still be problems even though we were so sure we were going to get in. Silly intarweb.

Re: Why is nothing Simple?
posting in a soon to be epic WoW bashing thread *cough* i mean...
i think that alot of the confusion comes from the whole early for pre orderers thing, thats never been done as far as i know so many suppliers dont expect preorders to need to go out early, also its a somewhat untested process in that they dont have earlier game releases to build off of and such like that. |
