Re: Making a Mount/transportation Guide

the thestra barb horses from derogar's are a clydesdale type with the stiff uprightmane.. and while the corral showed everything from grey to black(gods i wanted that black!).. they only sold browns (3 browns from brown to light brown).

oh and the dip quest one my other half got was a brown "quarter horse"

love that arab grey in the second pic

Re: Making a Mount/transportation Guide

Yes, I loved the look of the black too, I took my Varanthari overto Khal rather then buying at the regualr vendors to get her Horse, I bought a Sooty brown one and it was the Clydesdale like stiff maned model..so I believe the models are racially based, However the day after they changed it so that the mounts had level restrictions so I wasn't able to get anu screenies of her. she was a dark brown body, with reddish brown socks however. Theres a black model you can buy in one of the higher price ranges..so heres hoping you can get your Black Clyde =-)

Re: Making a Mount/transportation Guide

what we found hilarious is.. did you know the mounts scale to you?

i'm small irl (5'1") so i make my characters small.. my other half makes his average height or slightly taller (he's 5'10")... well were mounted side by side and i scrolled out.. and mine was a LOT smaller.. oh and they're all mares.
and yeah they are racial.. which does make sense considering the "size" of some of the characters hehehehe

Re: Making a Mount/transportation Guide

yeah I did notice that, which I suppose the scale thing is sorta right..most people tend to buy horses the right size for them..of course i've also seen alot of Petite little people on 17 hand monsters in my life at shows too.

they did the same thing in EQ2, we always made fun of our Gnome friend and his "war pony" which ended up being the guild mascot and got named Mr Plinkerton...as for the mare thing..eh, I figure if someone wants to say thier horse is a stallion..I"m willing to overlook the model problems there haha

heheheh i would say it's more then a model problem *grins evilly at the guys*

when i worked at a stable when i was a kid(long before i grew over 5'), i used to work out an 18 hand throughbred... but only cause he was the sweeetest midl mannered horse i have evern known....

but i want really... a FRESIAN! (ladyhawke black horse anyone?!) can you imagine riding through the game with one of those babies? hence wanting a black.

Well, if wishes were horses, I'd like to put my 2cp in for an Andalusian. I'll take one in RL too (and money for the costs )!

hehehe umm fresians and them are like carbon copies.. when the fresian almost died out cause of being used for cannons in world war1.. they used the andies to bring back the breed.

Re: Making a Mount/transportation Guide

Both Frisians and Andalusians are nice, but I fell in Love with American Saddlebred's along time ago, I owned one got 11 years and she was such a ham =-) No horses now unfortunately but if I had to pick a breed it'd be Saddlebred or Lusitano I think, a person in our barn had a buckskin lusitano stallion..he was gorgeous, I drooled over him everytime I saw him lol.
