PvP "team" Ruleset
So the Alt PvP server Rule set has been released.. And I was woundering, doesn't it seem a big unfair? I can defiantly already see that the Shadows of Kaerellun are going to be the under dogs.. So what made them make this decision? And is it going to be unfair?
Thanks |

Re: PvP "team" Ruleset
Like they said, they will be monitoring to see what other support systems can be introduced, so I wouldn't worry too horribly much. That being said, I think that you'll find a lot of people wanting to play on the shadows side, just because of the cool evil factor that quite a bit of pvp-ers enjoy.

Re: PvP "team" Ruleset
Agreed completely. If I pick this server (I'm torn between the RP server and this PVP server), I'll probably pick the Shadows simply because they're underdogs (and usually, you'll find more hardcores here), even though I'd usually play a Dwarf. WoW is a great example. On how many servers did the Alliance have a population bonus, yet could never win fights against the Horde?

Re: PvP "team" Ruleset
A lot of the reasoning behind the two "teams" has to do with the KOS settings for races. For example, Goblins, Orcs and Dark Elves are KOS in nearly every major settlement except for eachother's and the two Varan societies (Varanthrari & Varanjar). The outcasts tend to stick together, which is what the case seems to be. Of course, if you get into the Martok lore, you'll realize that the Martok people are in fact rather just and honorable whereas the Gulgrethor clan are the greenskins responsible for ransacking the world and embracing chaos, giving the allied races a bad name.

Re: PvP "team" Ruleset
I agree Grim, not only that, but in the two main continents, the races are matched pretty evenly, if anything they may have to pull one or two races over to the good side.
