I'm so excited to start! I'm actually going to tell my boss I had a death in the family to get a few days off to play, lol. Thank god I'm an atheist because I'd surely be going to hell!

lol thats pretty dang funny ^^ i dont think i would go to that extent... but it would be nice to have some time off to get started = D

i just got lucky that the date of the 3 day start comes on a saturday, thats the last day i have with my son befor he goes back to his mummy for 3 days, lucky coincidence. hehe... i would rather have my boy stay here, but if he had to go i couldent think of a better time lol

well, to let you all know.... it was very anticlimatic. I walked around all day (and surfed all day) trying to find where the locatoins were of the 3 events, couldnt find anything, no one would answer my questions. So, hubby and I wound up making dwarves. Fortunately, buffmaster was back due to popular demand.

We made our own fun though. We went out adventuring, found an unfinished high end content area where there was a swamp with some cool critters in it, an elven area with some semi-decorated (maybe just used for storage) houses in it. We got to kill a swampflyer there (lvl 40) and let me tell you ... that was a funny sight. It started off with me screaming at my husband (IRL), "OMG OMG OMG!!! LOOK LOOK!! ITS A DRAGON", where he immediately thought I was a total loon. We almost had him then he flew away ... only to come back at full health. We died and respwaned on top of talandra, another random adventurer, but the only one we had seen any where near where we were exploring, and recruited her assistance. We went back after it and same thing happened where we got it almost dead and it starts to run. We were all three running all over this little elven city chasing the stupid thing down until hubby finally lands a root spell on it. CHACHING! Dead swampflyer.

Any way, after that we walked around some more, got to see some really cool mobs and then recalled back to homebase to walk north to bodinair's. Made it all the way through the tunnel and underground city and as soon as I saw the sunshine beaming through the door it was 3:00:15am EST and I recieved the dreaded red text from hates. I for one though they should have summened all the players that happened to be online still (there really weren't as many as I thought there would be), spawned a dragon ... and killed us all. That would have been cool. But, it was what it was. I never did get to see a boat or a player house or ride a horse during beta, but I did get to ride a griffon, get to lvl 35, and have a ton of fun with my hubby on closing day (his comp has been unplayable on the game up until yesterday ... /geesh!!)

So, on Sigil's end, it was anticlimatic IMO, but how could you have not had fun anyway? I didnt need Sigil to go all out and TELL me how to enjoy my last day on beta, but it would have been nice to have a "grand finale". The planned events were extremely under publiciezed IMO. There really should have been a GM announcement at least every hour saying, "This is where you need to head for the finale events". But, we have an extra 12hrs on friday to make up for it and I had a blast playing with my hubby, so its all good.

my final day of beta...

well i logged on and someone on ooc mentioned boats in khal so i was like "WOOOOOOOOOT" ran up the river to khal (levitate ftw) passing lotsa boats so i figured it was true, when i got there...i crashed...but when i got back i got a boat from keejay and was like "WOOOOT WOOOT" again so i decided to sail around qalia to celebrate... 1.5hrs later i found my self up against a sandbar on the west side of qalia and my boat bugged out and sank, leaving me really bugged which allowed me to run on the bottom of the ocean and not have to breath...

after awhile i hit THE END OF THE WORLD!!!! aka an invisible wall, so i decided to follow it inland, when i hit a section of the world which turned very cloudy and when i went into the area it looked like i went into a portal of some sort and then my screen went black, so i backed out, was like "oOoOo" and went in and out and in and out for awhile before charging in and seeing if i could go through the whole section that was like this...after 5mins i gave up and recalled. So then i levitated off the cliffs of ghelgad and saw a kojani junk, was like "oOoOo" again and dropped in after abit of a talk with cap'n bodwell i decided to join his crew and we set off in search of lewts,rum, and booty(of all sorts ) after a few clashes with other pirates (did i mention cap'n bodwell was a pirate?) when ended up back in khal in time for a lvl 37 6dot wyrm!!! which i spammed with all might, but it healed as soon as it got below 20%, so i decided to switch to my mordebi sorc just cause i figured i wouldnt have to chase after the thing as much then, unfortunately i had to say "g'night" afore the wyrm met it's demise, any news of the wyrm would be much appreciated cause i dont even know if it might its demise.

so all in all, a amazingly fun night full of sailing, pirating, pirate speak, /drinks, and some wyrms
