Question on the Beta Closing

Does the beta closing mean we have our characters deleted on the 23rd, and the game locks out everyone but the pre-order people (like me)?

How do they know we preordered, anyways? Or will we have our games BEFORE the 30th?

You should have registered the preorder key thats how they know you preordered. The characters will be transfered to the test servers and when you log into the test servers you can use them as for the live game you will have to have new characters.

Guessing the preorder key was the one I used to install the 10 dollar Preorder CD then. So this flags my account so when I uninstall that CD and install my CE of VGSOH I'll be set, right?

You shouldn't have to uninstall your client. It will be patched to the live version. Just put in your CE retail key at/after release, and you'll be set (with all your CE goodies).

i got another question along these lines, what if we pre-orderd but our CD doesnt ship out till the 30th? will we still be able to get on the live version w/o it?

Yes, the key you entered from your preorder got you into beta and the early 3 day start. There will be an undetermined amount of time after release in which you will need to enter the key from the full version. This allows time for shipping .

If you are currently in beta there is no issue with registering your pre-order key now.

If you are having an issue with registering your key (you get a message saying you consumed the key without ever having consumed it) please read these instructions: http://forums.vanguardsoh.com/showthread.php?t=105037

You will be able to play the live version for a limited time with your pre-order key. Any time after the 30th will be based on shipping information and distribution. We encourage you to register your retail key as soon as you can to avoid any disruption of service while you're playing

WOOO HOOO!!!... i heard people talking in game about this and they said that you HAD to have the disc to be able to get in .... DOH, that woulda sucked... now i just hope my buddy finishes my game compu befor release = /
