Where are former EQ,WoW,SWG,etc. players?
Hello everyone! Pirotess has graciously allowed me to share some information with Vanguard Spheres members about a project I'm involved in that helps you find out where your friends (and enemies!) from past games and servers will be playing on Vanguard.
As games change, servers change and guilds change--we often lose touch with a lot of the people that we played with in the past. Some of my fondest memories in online gaming come from the experiences I've had in places like Asheron's Call 2 and Star Wars Galaxies... And the more I've met people who have played MMORPGs for a while, the more I've found it to be the same for others. Last year, I started to wonder: is there a better way to keep track of where everyone has played and where they've gone? The idea I came up with is called GuildCafe, which is a place where you can store your complete gaming history, along with the characters, servers and guilds you've played with. It helps preserve the memories and the lore of your gaming experience, helps you find old gaming buddies you've lost contact with--and can help you hook up with new players and guilds you'd like to meet. You can see my own personal gaming history here: http://www.guildcafe.com/member/Tarinth With the close of the Vanguard forums, and the imminent launch of the game, now is a good time to reunite with some of the friends you've left behind in other games--as well as find new players and guilds that match your own interests. I'd like to invite anyone from Vanguard Spheres to be amongst the first to help populate the database of gaming histories for Vanguard, and to help us build up a database of gaming lore and player histories. A few minutes at: http://www.guildcafe.com/Vanguard.php ...to register and complete your history is all that it takes to get your personal and guild histories online for years to come. I hope you'll join me there, and help us create a great resource for all gamers! Last edited by Tarinth : 01-17-2007 at 05:47 PM. |

Very nice idea! I may just have to sign up later (feeling kinda blah right now).

I registered and fill out my info, doubt I'll find anyone I know though.
