is your open beta still dowloading patch?

ill make this short , i have been dowloading my open beta patch sence 6pm last night its now 4pm friday all i can say is wow, it seemd to stop tho but the time has not on it as it still goes! has this happend to anyone else? its stoped at (downloading khal.isb) wtf is going on this is the losgest and biggiest patch i have ever seen?

Depending on your connection, it will be a very long patch. Keep in mind that your pre-order disc only had half of the information, if that. I believe the final file size is around 17 GB. I don't have a total time that mine took, because I left it on over night and the download stopped sometime while I was asleep.

Just have patience. If your connection is slow, you will definitely have a longer download time.

thank you i restarted it and its going again i just want to play so bad how is the game? what server do you guys start on and if i pick a pve server willl i be able to switch to a pvp?

I grabbed the Fileplanet beta client and only needed like 5mins of patching, just for those that went FP route and are wondering, not to rub it in.

WERE IS THIS FILE PLANT? your talking about. what do i do to get that?

You have to subscribe to Fileplanet.com in order to get the download from them. It'll still be a pretty big download. Either way, you will need to download.

Actually, when you stop the download, it doesn't start over from the beginning, it picks up where you left off. I know you are anxious to get into the game and try it out as well as help beta test it to make it be the best game it can be. However, there is not much you can do to speed up the download.

I suggest setting it to download and go watch a movie, have dinner, read a book, take a bath/shower. Doesn't matter, just do something to occupy your time. That's what my parents always told me to do. Especially on Christmas Eve. "Go to bed, sweety. The sooner you go to sleep, the sooner you'll wake up and Santa'll have been here!"

Oh and... "a watched patch never finishes." Not an old adage, just a new one, ala Kethra.

Indeed, I think it was something like 6.6GB? It unpacked to like 17.6GB or something in the end. I think the DVD w/ the pre-order only unpacks to ~9GB I think I've read. No way to get around a crazy download it seems.

YAH MY DOWLOAD BEEN GOING FOR EVER SENCE 6PM LAST NIGHT MY GIRL IS ON THE COMP I GET TO IT SHE SAID IT WAS NOT ON THERE, I DOUBLE CLICK VG ON MY DESK TOP PUT IN PASSWORD AND BAM ITS STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN WHATS THAT MEEN DID IT JUST STOP SHUT OFF ITS SELF OR DO U THINK SHE HIT IT BY MISTAKE?.. srry for the caps
