Will Wow Players be flamed?

I personally have no feeling good or bad towards WoW players. I never really played, tried the trial for a bit but decided to return to EQ2 because at least I could login to my server when I wanted, and didn't have to sit in a queue. I think it's hilarious when people "flame" WoW players for being immature, when they themselves are being extremely immature by doing the flaming in the first place.

I say to each his own and I think we just all need to have fun once Vanguard is released. Of course, there will be idiots and immature folks running around as in every MMO but they're easy to ignore. Just group with your friends, do what you want, have fun and everything will be fine.

Im not saying that all EQ2 players hate WoW. Im sure there are a few that like it. But when im on EQ2 and i say "Yeah my friend is playing WoW right now" everybody in the grp goes.. "eeeewwww" Witch is funny to me. Im sure thre are ppl that enjoy wow. And dont get me wrong.

I do not like WoW my self. Ive played it for 5 months and it was a fun game. But im a big MMORPG gamer nerd. And most people in WoW dident even know what EQ1 was. And some say "oh EverQuest is gay" Or call it "EverCrack" When i here a little punk kid tell me that my fav. game is not as good as this pop culture game it makes me gag.

Wow is like the pop star of MMORPG's. Its like the brittney spears. Its just the cool thing to play. Im not really into games like that. But if you are. Have fun

I guess I'll have to say that there is an extremely high likelihood that most of the types of gamers that we're all pretty much agreeing that has given WoW a bad name are the kind that they cater too. The younger kids, with a short attention span that want an easy game. I have a gut feeling that VG will weed a high % of them out in a few weeks or so when they realize that this isn't that type of game. But, I'm sure there will be a few that survive to 'spread the dumb'.

If they whine about how hard the game is or constantly asking for things to make the game easier then yes they will be flamed.

As will the trully hard core gamer who thinks the only real game is the end game.

And lets not forger the PvP vs PvE crowd.

I know many people that are going to play but will never see their friends cause they "don't want to PvP". I for one am on the fence about it. Either way works for me, but it pains me to see that one way or another I won't really be able to hang out with all of them. Others just straight up make fun of the PvEers cause... what was it?... a 'carebear' environment? No surprise attacks from random players in the middle of attacking a mob.

And thats Why I don't PvP. It's not that I want a carebear environment its that I want to fight against the environment Not lay in wait for someone else to attack it then I attack when there both week. Cheep way of playing. If I want to test my skills against another player then I will More than Gladly accept a Duel.

I agree with you completely Rao... guess my only really issue with that is a rogue in a duel. Rogues are made to be unknoticed, and unpredictable yet you know they are there if its a duel. *shrugs* oh well still better than being ganked in the middle of a fight, as you said.

Well For certain classes Dueling should have a slightly different Skill set. Rouges During duels should have a high chance to crit with a dagger. Then again If I was A Rouge I wouldnt go up against a fully armored Paladin. That would be suicide. A sneak attack on the other hand would be fine. Backstab and run away. sneak/hide Then Backstab again. Gorilla warfare 1 on 1.

There are plenty of "honorable" PvPers. Its the Gankers that keeps me away form Red servers. I played Diablo for about 1 week before quitting because of all the Hacks. I quit EQ1 mainly because of all the hacks. Being trained by someone who can drop agro with a push of a button and warp back to there group/camp is just as bad as the higher level toon waiting for your group to nearly kill a high level mob then come in and destroy everyone. Getting Credit for the PC Kills and looting the mob.

Even if this only happens everyonce in a while it still ruins the experience. And Thus I will play mainly on Blue servers.

Anytime someone goes against the grain of the outspoken forum majority they will get flamed.

Debating something is all and good but rehashing the same topic for the 37th time gets annoying and some of the Lurkers will more than likely jump in on the flame only to try to keep repetitive topics from cropping up.

If people actually read most of the stickies in forums they wouldnt ask half the questions they do.

How many times do you see the "Try the Search Button." reply to a simple question. And Thats someone being nice. Vets on some forums get it into there heads that the forums are there private abodes. You know who Im talking about the Person with 3000 plus posts 90% of them meaningless and the other 10% have some helpful posts and a lot of flames. WHy? Because they have read and read so many topics that the repetitive ones start to really annoy them. Thus they Flame. They have a fan base and three or four other forum members respond with smilies, smirky little responses... "pwned"....and there own flames basically rehashing what the original flamer said.

Who cares. you'd spend less time answering the question or adding a link to the "Your common questions answered" thread.

Hmmm I think I better get back in bed and try to get out of the other side now.
