Official Forums Lag
Is it me or do the Vanguard official forums lag incredibly bad? I'm trying to catch up on posts there during my daughter's naps and can't make any progress because the server is always too busy and I must try again later.
/sigh Double posted twice too because of the lag. Oh well, hopefully it will get better soon.  |

Yep they are always slow, but then that is a good sign as it shows the forums are pretty packed

Yah its been a problem for quite a long time. The hardware they are running on isnt keeping up with the load. If it could I suspect their bandwidth would have a hard time keeping up with the load. Its something I keep a very close eye on with this site and will definitely keep ahead of so we dont get to that point.

Well I've almost stopped frequenting the official forums, except to check for posts from Sigil staff on updates, etc. Having read that once Vanguard goes live, the forums will be reduced to Tech support only and that the Affiliate sites such as this one will be the hubs of the player community, I decided to work on making myself part of this community here pre-launch.
I applaud their decision to do that btw. It leaves them to dealing with other matters besides moderating a forum community. |
