obviously it will be, yes. but the question is whether it's going to be twice as big, five times as big, or ten times!
the funny thing about wow's distances was that you were always so close to everything that you had all these options, yet the running/riding/flying times always bored me to death. probably because of the predictability - of the landscapes as well as of the mobs encountered on the way. but that's beside the point. vanguard!!!

im hoping for 100 times the size of eq2 or wow lol...

but really, when u look at ur map, it should not have the fog of war lifted for a major area on the map for just finishing the newbie area. Im hoping for a tiny corner to be visible.

The maps i have read somewhere will be intersting too. They wont tell us everything, we have to explore (and im hoping make marks on map for special locations - not enough games allow personal input for the maps, it adds to the explorer mentality i think)

As brad pointed out in that thread its not the size that matters more the quality of the content.

A world 3 times as big as wow is pointless if 90% is wasteland. WoW is in fact very small but pretty intense. It remains to be seen if Sigil can fill a much larger world with content without killing performance. I sincerly hope so as they are planning even more contients in the future.

So the game will have a 800-1000 km2 landmass, sounds reasonably big. On top of that comes water and expansion, should be fine even though it isn't as big as I thought
