Shared Bank?

Many games have their own Bank system where players can unload their loot and store items, even share items between their Alts or in some cases transfer items or gold between players.

How would you like to see the bank system in Vanguard? Do you see the use of a shared bank as good or bad, even sharing between Player Characters. Does a shared bank increase a need to cheat so as to 'twink' out a low level toon or when sharing between players a way to fransfer huge loads of plat or gold thru websites that sell it for real life money.

I remeber before a shared bank was intoduced into EQ, if i wanted to give my alt something that my Main character had i would have to get a friend or even ask someone to hold these items for me while i logged off and got onto my other toon. So does the absence o f a shared bank maybe force players to communicate and even trust other Adventurers with their money and items thus creating a more fun and exciting community or would the lack of the shared bank cause problems and eventually one would be introduced in an expansion?

I'd like to see a global bank system that has enough space for me to store items out of the gates instead of having to buy extra space. I really dont look forward to getting to some far off dungeon only to find I forgot my key in my bank and then have to remember which bank I left it in. Ideally I'd like to be able to store a bunch of items in my house but failing that a public vault is fine. I dont think a shared bank between characters is necessary as long as they provide a mail system that you can mail things to your other characters with. Sigil has stated they want to encourage players to have alts and part of having alts is "twinking" them out so to speak. I dont really see twinking as being cheating especially with the scaling item stats that are based on a characters level that will be in Vanguard. With that system, items arent so drastically overpowered when given to a lower level alt and can grow with the character as you would expect as the character increases in skill as they level.

I would personally like to see a system where you can easily transfer items between your characters, not exactly a single shared bank, but perhaps each character gets their own bank and items can be transfered by simply moving an item into a box that transfers that item to said ALT, provided that the bank it is going to has the room. That way each of your characters get their own bank and stuff, and if you really want to you can easily transfer your stuff around. I think that would be a good system.

EQ1 has a system like that which worked pretty well for me. Was only a few shared slots though so for large transfers it could be tedious.

I like the mail option. Just as long as the postman doesn't loose any of my gear/Money order.
