Re: So, what of the oceans?
I dunno this idea wasn't too well recieved at the official forums for "Interupting immersion". I think its just as immersive and potentiallly more expansive than a round world...

Re: So, what of the oceans?
I dont know about u all, but i dont like oceans with no identifying landmarks, no map with gps-like indentifiers, or anything that tells u if u are moving at all....
I really need something to tell me if i am going anywhere or just sailing in place. Therefore...lol an endless ocean is not my cup of tea. |

Re: So, what of the oceans?
when i said round i meant more that if you went too far down then you would appear at the top of the map (seamlessly of course wouldnt want any loads or teleporting...) but it can look flat for all i care it should just act like its round

Re: So, what of the oceans?
Lol
I shall indeed stay ashore with all the other sane land lovers. Dont like the sea/oceans at all. Whether its a flat world with an edge (btw that idea with things at the edge to do was cool) or a round with no edge, I enjoy my forested mountains way to much. Really love being on a mountainous hill and looking at a beach oceanside - very pictureske - but thats as close as i want to get. |

Re: So, what of the oceans?
I cant wait to set sail and explore all the small islands, of course much will depend on the way sailing and navigation is handled.
I am also a bit concerned about the logistics of recovery if my ship and myself are killed way out to sea. finding another ship and crafter willing to undertake the recovery could be a pain. |
