Re: What sex do you play?

I usually play males, though, because I can usually suck my wife into playing these games with me (though, it's looking iffy for Vanguard - she's too addicted to WoW), and she's fun to flirt with. |

Re: What sex do you play?
I usually play male characters. I have had two female characters so far and MANY male characters over the years.
Three of my friends who are male play female characters (two of them all the time and the other the majority of the time). All of my female friends tend to play female characters.

Re: What sex do you play?
first off I'm a 6'10'' guy in real life very tall, athletic build, jock/martial artist and all thru highschool I played a female human rogue in everquest even after h.s. I continued to play that char I though all the way up to 68 when I quit, then I played a ne male rogue in wow for about 42 levels , i also had a human female warlock she was very cool looking had all blue items that I used my cousin's 60ne priest to farm the stuff for, I have no problem playing a male or female character honestly I don't pretend to be the character I just play them, when i was a female rogue in everquest I let anyone who might of tried to hit on me off the back know that I was a dude, often using "dude, hey man, yo" in my text as a friendly warning that i'm a guy as well, or out right telling them. I usually play whatever looks cool, for eq it was the half elf female rogue i always thought they looked awesome, when I got my burnoose of the halfbreed I turned off the luclin models for half elf females just to have that oldschool half elf model, was l33t.

Re: What sex do you play?
My main toons have always been male, With the exception of my kitty bard on Firiona Vie. I made that toon female just to see what the diference was. Not sure if it would have been more effective to pick a more humanistic modle.

Re: What sex do you play?
I mostly played males with my characters. But i have no problem with playing a female character, i just need a character in mind. I like to make up a character before i create them and use them in games, it makes it more interesting. Maybe it's just something i picked up from playing D&D way back in the days.

Re: What sex do you play?
i remember there was a huge discussion on avatar sex on eq2 soe forums sometime ago........this topic was always something that i found interesting
i like to believe that the character i play is a representation of myself, the things that i say and do in game are what i am in rl so to me it's obvious that i'll chose the sex that i am in rl as well i have always played female characters, it was just never an option for myself to try and play a male character.......i would probably have problems relating to the opposite sex, and like Rhaevyn said i'd be sending all the homophobics running away for their life.....hmmm maybe i should give it a try just for the kicks my husband has always played male characters.........i once asked him to tell me why he never played a female, and he felt like he was going to look too pansy, and i guess he just wouldn't be too comfortable with it i think what differs those that play the same sex to those that don't is that the first like to imagine themselves being transfered from rl into the game, the avatar is really them for the others that play the opposite sex, i don't believe that they relate to the avatar as much.....right? ![]()
