What sex do you play?

Each to their own. you must be comfortable with your role. In fact only one of my female chars has ever been chatted up and that was in Linage II beta which considering the sexy nature of the toon is not totally surprising.

I play men although one of my real life freinds plays women for two reasons he gets alot more free stuff and like playing women in wimpy nonfighter castor types like wizards.

I'm female in RL, and I've always played female characters. It's not that I have any objection to cross-playing, but as TheKnight said I like to pretend I am the character and it's much easier for me to identify with a female. I don't play really girly characters though, because that's not who I am. I guess I play a fanstasy version of myself, you know, fearless in the face of dragons...

I like to play casters. I don't like to play muscle-bound casters. Most games don't give you a "beefiness slider" so I end up playing females for casters and males for non-casters.

I'm with those who place a part of themselves in their characters. With that said, I almost always play a male toon.

Always female,i am female and most of the time my toon Depicts who i am irl,is probley why i got so attached to my ranger in eq,i dont play her but ill never let her go,getting a tattoo of her on my back ina few months

For a main character, I always play a male. But for extra toons and such, I'd have a female toon.

I guess I invest too much of myself in my characters ... I have to play a male or I feel "dirty;" I don't cross-dress in RL, and it feels too much like that in game to me. I have no problem with those who do, it's just not for me. Similarly, I can't do game romances either. I am quite happily married in RL to a non-gamer, and it would feel like cheating to me, because whatever level of RP I indulge in, I really can't seperate my real self that much from my character.

I must admit the only in-game romance I could indulge in would be with my RL wife. Any female alts are brave, strong, independent characters who dont flirt, manage to be one of the lads but still female. They are based on some of the girls I knew in my climbing days... ah those were the days.

im the same on the romance side of things, but was before i was married. i'm just not the flirty type, male or female.
