release date

I was in ebGames yesterday (april 18) and they have a release date of July 11th for Vanguard. Has anyone else heard this?

Also, It looked like the regular version of the game is $49.95 and the collectors version $99.95. I'm not sure what the collectors version will include.

There is no release date beyond "2006". As with all games, the stores (both online and on the high street) give very tentative 'estimates' when no release date has been announced. They are then free to alter their given release date as much as they want (some stores I've seen don't bother which produces some hilarious results).

Sigil and Microsoft have however given no release date at all yet beyond saying it would definitely be this year.

Most of the release dates the stores give are educated guesses , based on a few factors.. however, they are rarely correct.

Figures.. I wonder if the prices he was given are correct though and what all will be in the collectors edition.

I think I might go to the store he went to ask where they get their information. Will be fun to see what their answer is.

All release dates other than 2006 are rumor and speculation. You won't hear it first from anyone other than Sigil.

You know, i gotta say -

I have read several (make that tons) of postings critizising a poster for saying he/she/it has found out a retail store has coughed up a release date for the game.

I so dont care if the date is an actual fact or even if they have made it up.

The only thing i care about is that i get my grubby hands on a copy sometime before i buy the big farm in the sky.

....so - I also have heard a date from gamespot - havent decided to make the purchase yet - but im hoping bigtime that they are right!!!!!

Just wanted to say it doesnt hurt to hope that they are right...
