Howdy all, currently playing eq2 from swg from uo. I have tried to inhale as much as i possibly can of this new game Vanguard.

It sounds like it will be a great successor to eq2 and hopefully its better.

Dont mind the corpse runs - did that for 7 years in uo so im used to it (dont get me wrong - i hate it soooo much - lol - but im used to it).

Here's hoping that quest content will be as good or better than eq2 (swg had none!!) and char lvling will be possible for solo play.

Please tell me that exp gain will be a visible item like in eq2 and not just a dream like in uo..... (left uo cause couldnt tell how i was doing in gaining exp - either up or down)

Keep em coming and cant wait for release!!

Do what I do...don't watch for visuals. Just play to have fun and if the exp comes, that much better! It continues the element of surprise!!

While our "head rushes" may be different, I think people will find VSoH one of those "something for everyone" type games. What is being laid out for us to follow is very promising!

Well, I'm pretty sure it'll be better. With such a fantastic team behind it, that's the only outcome I can imagine.

I honestly don't think any of us can wait for release.

If it wasn't because I'm waiting for various games (Metroid Prime: Hunters, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Heroes of Might and Magic V, and Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass) I would probably go nuts on the spot.

And then there's that shiny new console...

We consider this more of "EQ: The Sequel", the way Brad would have envisioned EQ2 done. It will be interesting to see, won't it?

Indeed. Actually, I think the term you're looking for is: The spiritual successor to EQ. That's what Brad has called it anyways.

Having never played EQ I have no idea what a successor to EQ means. Having played EQ2 I pray it will be a lot better than that game.

As far as I know, general consensus is that EQ > EQ2. So, yeah, you can expect something far better than EQ2.

exactly - spiritual successor to eq and eq2.

I read on a site somewhere that they are trying to make the paladin (my fav) into a good fighter with a propensity to do great damage to undead. That will be a fabulous change rather than what is usually served up - a halfway good fighter combined with a halfway good cleric.

(trying to remember what the site said - think i got it though)
