Sorcerer

From the rich ocean of information available on the Sorcerer, I can safely say that in addition to main elements the nuker class will have at it's disposal, there will be "sub-elements" that can be created by somehow combining the main ones. So far, this class is already seeming unique amoung it's counterparts in other MMOGs, what do you guys think?

Aye I recall reading something to that effect. Naturally the 4 main elements are Air, Earth, Fire, Water and then the subelements I heard mentioned were things like Dust (Air+Earth) and Smoke (Fire+Water). I think its a cool idea and I also like that the mana usage comes from having to change between the elements instead of actually casting the spells themselves. I ran a Wizard in EQ and loved being a nuker from afar. It let me keep an eye on the big picture and direct our raids more efficiently.

Can't wait until they release some solid info on all the classes. Hints and tidbits can sustain for a while (and it's been a while), but nothing beats a solid preview of whats to come.

Well, coming from eq (and far too many raids...) I can plainly see the role of the sorceror which should fit its basic mandatory slot in life: damage.
I like the idea of combining the elements to make sub-elements, which is a nice change. Interesting system, and it should be good to look at.

I think it would be neat if the Sorcerer could also become the elements it commands... and maybe get a benefit from the new form.

With all the new ideas they are putting into Vanguard casting classes, we can only come to hope that they don't turn into their former brethren in earlier mmo's.

I worry more that the game will try to be too different than not enough...so many innovations, the game will either be revolutionary or a good idea gone bad. One thing is for sure, I can't wait to get my hands on it after reading what's been said so far

What I've read so far about Sorcerers has given me to add them to my list of possibles. I want them to have a little bit more to them than just "nuke" and if they do once more information is revealed it's going to make my choice tougher, which I have no complaints with.
