help with ranger useful quests

i am a 18 level ranger who mostly solo's and have recently noticed that my armour is way below what it should be.

can anyone direct me to quest lines or places to hunt where i could build up some decent armour? the only decent piece i have is a broker brought chest item. other than that they are below level 10 quest rewards.

any help would be greatly apreciated

I don't have any quests to offer, but have you considered finding yourself a friendly leatherworker who, for a fee, could make you a matched set of tier 2 medium armor. Very stylish and reasonably effective; you can even balance the stat boosts across the armor set to fit your desired build (all dex, all str, or many mixes inbetween)

ahh yes that is something i shal look into. i havent looked into crafted armour yet. i hope its not too expensive

just found out the arlinors retreat area and there are a few nice solo quests for around 16-20 levels that are easily soloable for those who are looking. i went there when it was a quiet period and just went through a few quests, they were pretty nice and varied and quite easy

I know you said you like to solo, but when you get into the low mid 20's visit TK, and while your in your 20's visit Hillsbury for some nice weapon drops.

Best Solo gear you can get at that level is all the UTR Hero Mission gear. It starts near Three Rivers Village, on a bridge to Renton Keep. Follow it from there to Renton Keep, to the Costal Graveyard. Great gear and once all completed you get a weapons quest. I'm level 26 now and I still have not gotten any gear better then the UTR items.

The saving Silverlake URT quest is inconsistently bugged right now (works for some, not for others)

For the Greaves you can go to Arlinora's Retreat. It's full of undead but I *highly* recommend it

My cleric started the missions at 16. The Weapon mission is level 20. I bet you'll have no troubles. In the mean time, while you are collecting stuff to finish the mission, you get some decent armor drops. They can last you until you get the URT.

My bard and her paladin cohort (don't *anyone* tell Taggy I called him that) started the missions at 16. We are on the weapon one now at 18.

You should be well set to do this line. You get good coin for each mission. Lots of good vendor trash as well (for added income) and a "free" set of armor (if you don't bill for the time invested of course)

All in all, it's great to learn some story and see some interesting places, meet some interesting people and kill them

if you want some great gear, you can start the hunters quest on Qalia at upside defense, my lvl 30 bard is wearing all gear except for a helm i got near the cyclopses.

it starts at lvl 16, but to finish all of it you will need a full group of lvl 24's for the final quest (or less, that's just what we had). it's all class specific gear so my bard got instrument mods on his armor and the clerics got heal mods on theirs, etc.
