What additional forums do you want to see at VF?

As you've noticed, I recently added quest forums to the board. There won't be anything to post in them until release, but I want to get our forum lineup finalized so I decided to go ahead and activate them.

That addition completes the forum lineup that I had planned for the boards. I'm now opening up the discussion to the community to see if there are any additional forums you would like to see here at VF.

I'll start the discussion with 2 boards that may be in demand.

There has been some talk about a marketplace forum for selling in-game items (for in-game gold). Personally, I think this is something handled much better on server specific boards. However, there is something to be said for the fact that as tanks, there will be specific gear that we'll be interested in so it might be a good idea to go ahead and open another forum for it. I don't want to have 50 forums on the boards and get to a point where it is just a clutter... but if the feeling is that this type of forum would be valuable, we can probably go ahead and add it. Let me know what you think.

Many boards have a rant and flame forum. I think that there are pros and cons to including that... but for now I'll keep my thoughts to myself and listen to what you guys think about it. One thing I need to point out is that if this is included, it WILL be moderated, although the rules will not be as strict as the other boards.

Here's your chance. What do you want to see here at VF?

Ok, basically, I don't think a marketplace forum makes too much sense, but a place to discuss tank itemization would be very cool.

Having a forum for ranting will make it so that there aren't any in the generic forums. They do need to be moderated, but besides obvious attacks, racism, ignorant remarks, I think they are, in general, a good idea.
For instance, a place to go and rant about class imbalances, or a place to rant about tanking dependenciy problems, etc.

*shrug*

How about a forum where people can just go and fear me? I think it would work out.

It's definately a good idea, a place with loose moderation and more relaxed rules, but a definate "enter at your own risk" attitude where people can blow off steam. Some of the debates in "Off Topic" on the OVF are very interesting, but if you follow the dev posts you can see that the moderators have to step in and lock posts when they get out of hand / distribute warnings when they start to go off the rails.

Overall I'd say it's a plus

I wouldnt think an entire database, but more ... someone asks, "Hey, what weapon and shield should I have at level 22 as a paladin."

...kinda deal. I think it would be interesting and might prompt more experienced members to help out.

Isn't that the sort of discussion that would go on in the class forums though?

The Armory is our forum for equipment, weapon, and armor discussions. between that forum and the class boards, I think there is already plenty of appropriate space to discuss weapons, armor, and that sort of thing.

I would definitely like to see this put in. I just don't want to see a forum that is the eqivalent of a S*** List. Those never work out for the best.
