I just wanted to say "HI!" to the other tanks of Telon
 I am hoping to be a warrior (maybe in beta if I am lucky, in live definately) and as an old school EQ1 warrior I am very excited about the recent Silky Venom article regarding how Vanguard's melee combat works. /bow

. Future pally here, but I might change my mind yet though. It all depends on how the classes feel.I'm absolutely loving what I've read about the new combat system! Finally a game that engages you this deeply. Yummy! |

My excitement regarding the combat system grows when I read this and this. This sounds infinately more complex than any other MMO I have played - I just hope other players can be convinced to complete chains, especially given shield bash (for example) is a chain finishing move... My experience with EQ2 chains (Heroic Opportunities) is that everyone is too busy mashing their keys to complete a chain, but then we have been assured that Vanguard is not a key mashing game. Fingers most definately crossed
I will be happiest if we don't get any "OMFG YOU NOOB Y U BREAK TEH CHAIN!?" arguments in groups, especially given breaking the chain is a valid tactic if it allows you to do something that has a positive impact.
