mounted combat

We are NOT promising MOUNTED combat on release.

You may have to get off your horse to fight effectively, and then your horse would be a pet and fight with you, etc. (and, remember, you can equip your horse with armor and such to make it more formidable).

Too bad mounted combat probably won't make it in for release. It would be great, especially for Paladins. But I do like the fact that our horses will be able to fight... and that we can equip them with armor.

Too bad indeed. However, I think I will be ok if my mount gets to fight beside me in battle. That will just plain rock! 8)

Mounted archery would be intensely cool, as well as proper war horses - we know that horses are "characters" that will "grow with you" (i.e. gain experience and levels), it would be interesting if as they grew they learned new attacks too.

I would kill to be able to ride around on a Nightmare. Just to see the reactions on peoples faces as I charge them down and bury their face in the dirt.
