What protective fighter shall I choose?
I have been playing the 10 day Trial. I loved the game, although I did hate it for the first day because of how crappy the Monk class was for me.
I've been playing a Dread Knight, managed to get to level 10 and level 6 crafter in a couple of days casual playing and I've loved it. Now that I've bought the game, I'll be adding the code to my exsisting Station account. So the question is, which is the best Protective fight to be for Soloing? I don't group much as my attention is very short, so I don't like to leave groups waiting around. I want to be able to kill things with hard hits, but also take some hard hits. The one thing that annoyed me about DK is the lack of Heals/Leech Life skills. I died so many time at level 9 doing a level 8 quest, I almost through my toys down the stairs  I just quickly made a Paladin on my trial to test that out, it looks nice, not sure how the points thing works (Heal takes 3 of those points, but how do the regen? Server went down before I got to try) I've not tried Warrior yet, is it worth it? Will I be able to solo the majority of things? Another off topic question. On death, if I go get my tombstone, I lose a little XP. If I summon my tombstone, do I lose the same ammount of XP but just suffer the extra durability damage? Thanks for reading. Largo .//npc |

You lose more experience if you summon it. I think. I did anyway...
Dreadknights do get a form of leechlife pretty early, Harrow or something. Solo, it only works in conjuction with Shadow Step for positioning reasons. Honestly though, from what I have seen none of the protective fighters can solo as well as the healers. If I had to hazard a guess, Dreadknight would be the way to go due to their utility spells, limited though they may be. |
