level 14 Kurashasa DK...

jeeze they really make you work for your levels

I am sitting in Lomshir mostly. Getting tired from the mosquito fighting in the planes of Lomshir, I think they have the world populated too densely, it honestly F sux to fight at every hill some silly mosquito.

In addition there is nothing like blowing your every ability in a very intense fight to kill 3 npcs at once of equal level, to do quest related to items in the same room, live at like 5% hp, and have them pop right back up in 5 seconds or so to woop your ass. naturally, i didnt have time to finish quest LOL. Came back later with a buddy.

Is it just me, or is there WAAAAY too much nighttime in VG?

Can anyone suggest a fun dungeon for level 14? I need a change of scenery, because the X-Oasis'of'Mar setting is starting to get to me, and I dont want to lose fun in this game. People in game tend to make fun of such requests and not be helpful, so asking here.

Thanks all.

Population density was raised towards the end of beta, I was never overly keen on it either but I seemed to be in the minority. If you're level 14 in the Lomshir area there are a few good places to go:

1 - shipwreck down by the shore north of Lomshir, plenty there.
2 - I'm assuming you've followed the quests to the racetrack, there is a cave dungeon with quests in to the north, and plenty of interesting places to see around there.

The quest line, from there, should nudge you to an outpost closer to Khal too.

Ideally by 14 you should be on horseback and heading south / east past the racetrack and into the wilds. At the beacon outpost you'll be getting quests that take you down river to fight lizardmen too.

I have completed all of those, problems starting right after those got done.

I tried to get into Khal, and turned out Kurashasa was KoS. OK, so I tried going to Aghram, and I found Aghram pretty deserted it seems. Brokers, Guards, Sultan, GuildNPC, thats all i found. No trainers, no other merchants, and no players for that reason probably hehehe.

I was told fighting Ksaravi is a way to raise Khal faction, is that true? Also, where is a decent spot to raise mining skill so that I could mine something but copper ) ?

Let me share a site with you to help you find places to go grouping at. I find it to be very helpful for finding content around my level.

http://www.whitetalon.com/dungeons/dungeonfinder.asp

Levels 1-10 are pretty easy to solo and you gain xp at a nice pace. Past level 10 however, you will notice a gradual decrease in xp gain soloing. By the time you hit around level 15, it will take hours to gain a level by soloing. It is around this time that you are better off either small grouping 2 dot white +con mobs through 3 dot blue con mobs, or full grouping 3 dot white+ con mobs through 4 dot mobs.

Soloing becomes something you CAN do, when you have limited time to play, want to work on an easy quest, or just want to go test some things out, but grouping becomes the main focus of playing Vanguard in order to progress at a reasonable rate. I usually solo in the mornings after work, but try and group on my nights off. That way I can feel like I worked on my progression, even when I don't have time to go into a long dungeon crawl.

P.S. This is one very good incentive for people not to act like asshats in the game. Because this game makes you rely on others to some degree to see progression, it does not benefit a player to anger his community against him. This is one thing I applaud VG about, social responsibilty means something in this game. Griefing comes with a heavy price.

Thank you Ellestil, it is very useful. At least I know approximately what people are talking about when they yell out LFG for somewhere.

Would also be very good if somewhere it showed a map and where a general entrance to those dungeons is. Anyone have anything like that going?
