Will skill traing cost us money ?
Ok this is a question that has been on my mind for a while. As well My fiancee is wondering about it as well. So here it goes.
Will skill traing cost us money ? If my memory serves back when I played Eq. It used to cost you almost everything you made. To train your charaters skills. At lower levels. So we are wondering if it will be that way in VSOH. I hope its notgoing to ne that way. However if it is I hope the prices won't be so steep. That you can't afford new weapons or armor ect...

EQ wasn't very expensive to learn new skills, spells on the other hand were generally bad enough to make every caster broke. WoW also had very expensive skills. Not quite as bad as EQ's spells but bad enough.
That said, Vangaurd is supposed to have "some" skills/spells learned from your local trainer and I'd imagine they'd cost you something, most likely cash. However, your supposed to find many (some? half? most?) of your spells/abilities from other alternate sources such as from quests and from fighting mobs. The devs have stated that they feel just buying them from your local trainer isn't exciting enough. As to how much of a money sink your abilities are, I doubt they can even tune that yet. They need to find out what the average player has for cash at a given level before they can tweek the prices. They can't start making tweeks to the economy of the game until the economy is in full swing. |
