Another new heavy fighter ready to toe the line...
Hi all,
I just wanted to throw a shout out and say hello. I'm looking forward to starting a Wood Elf Inquisitor in Vanguard when it finally gets ready to roll out. Magic users beware! I've been playing MMOs for several years. I originally started out in EQ, but I quickly got bored after leveling up a wood elf ranger to level 34 about the time Shadows of Luclin got released I believe. I would then go on to play SWG for over 2 years, building my own Guild of rebels as a Squad Leader/Pistoleer. I became a well respected leader to the point where my own members handed me over spare holocrons they found without me even asking for them(they were going for a mil a piece at this time, I was honored). It was much appreciated but what I believe to be the downfall of the game. Ofcourse, I followed the red pill to unlocking my jedi after the 12th profession I mastered. I played Jump to Lightspeed where I became a shipwright while secretly grinding my jedi and hiding from bounty hunters, but after the first space pvp event when every single rebel fighter disconnected and we were shot out of the sky by approaching Imperial PCs, I quickly hit the cancel button on my subscription. Then I moved into WoW, playing a rogue. One of a million playing a rogue. They were fun to play, so everyone played them. I originally started on an RP server to play with my gf who I met online in SWG, but WoW is easy so I ended up with three rogues at level 60, one on a pvp server and then I started playing a priest, a mage, a paladin, a druid...yeah so I was obsessed with that game so I had to stop. I did spend some time with City of Heroes/Villains, in which I played magic style archetypes. My favorites were a Merc/Poison Mastermind that I styled after the Baroness from GI Joe for fun. And, a small little girl who was a gravity dominator. From my research on Vanguard, it appears that I will get all the things I miss from SWG(the crafting, player housing, player driven economy), while getting a more improved and robust combat system. I will be playing as my main a Wood Elf Inquisitor to go along with my gf's High Elf Ranger, so I hope I'll be able to keep the heat off of her. As an alt, I might play a Kojani Sorceress as well, but given the site name, I dont think you want to hear about that . None of the other classes really appeal to me, so I hope the inquisitor will be in at release so I can help...toe the line |
