Concerned about Vanguard direction
Ok,you,ve all heared that roleplaying is just an exstention of your real self? Right? Well you know what I mean. Point is the people who come up with the ideas how the game will play out,etc,etc. In EQ2. My opinion they have nearly ruined it with all the social engineering. Capped nearly evering thing,"so we all have a level playing experience" Thats crap! What happened to the good ole days when ,yea you get what the other guy has to start with,but how good it is will be how much you use your abilities,,might sound selfish ,but I want to be better Fighter ,healer ,what ever than the other peeps. Crafting is a real joke now, cost to make is higher than the fuel cost when you try to sell it.Who the heck will pay you a dollar ,that the item is worth,when the market is flooded with the items for 50 cents,cause bunch of peeps are jus doing it for fun.cause its so easy to make now..Sure everyone jumped into it,after it was made so easy and fun fun fun to do..But real life is ,you work,you labor ,you strive for something,then silly me.I expect to make a profit.
OK OK my real point to this is. I love S.O.E. but im really concerned that they will worm there way into Vanguard and make it another socialist game..I wonder some times if sony has gotten so big now that the people who can make changes .arent insulated from the real people by to many YES men. Will they really Hear us out here,,,,,,,AAhhhhaaaa!!!!! Thanks guys,I feel so much better now.Got a little off my chest.....Keep up the good work on this,and remember Fight for a real game,not a wussy game. |

SO far my Beta experience has been a lot different than the "bad" issues you mention. It's tough and you learn to do things better. I don't know how the economy will work out but if Brad has anything to say about it (which he does) it will be good.

Well from what I have been reading about brad, sigil, and soe I think that Vanguard is pretty much "game over" I played in the beta and even though it was free I did not like playing it. Just too buggy and faded out looking not to mention boring. Anyway brad "used carsalesman/televangelist" mcquade is now out of the picture. In fact he was not even present when most of the sigil employes were fired the other day......
