griffon ride problems

i tried a griffon and it was very fun but i had a few problems. the handling was very smooth with no lagginess or jerkiness. i crossed chunks perfectly without falling off at all. i landed and took off easily and the controls were easy to use.

my problem began when probably something totally unrelated to the ride started. since this last patch i have been crashing to desktop a lot more then i ever did. when this would happen and i was on a griffon i would log back in to emptiness. i literally mean everything was gone items, all my spells, my hotbar was clear and abilities book, bags, money, quests. i was exploring so i didnt try to find my body just used the altar to get my stuff. when i logged in and out everything returned to normal. if i can provide any information to help remedy this let me know.

They were available for free in Khal, last night. The vendor is gone now, though.
