Chain Question
Level 18 - Maul of Valus I - Smashes your target dealing 350% weapon damage plus 96-104. Deals an additional 47-53 damage when used while an ally is flanking your target. Only available after performing Hammer of Valus.
Level 20 - Hammer of Valus III Crushes you target dealing 350% damage plus 106-116. Deals an additional 52-58 damage when used while an ally is flanking your target. Ok, at level 20 you have both of these Abilities. The order that flows in is like this; You crit with a starter ability, then you hit your Hammer Icon before it runs down; then you hit this Maul. What I don't get is the fact that these two are ALOT alike. So basically you get to use the Hammer twice. I though it was only going to be useable if I got a crit on the Hammer swing. To me it just seems weird that this is even an ability. Can somebody please explain this to me? Aadwen |

It basically just allows you to do more damage. Since you cannot attempt the 2nd part of the chain if you miss the first, it's definately a different situation than having the one ability do twice as much damage.

But there almost the same. Why not make it so you can just rehit the Hammer Icon once agian if it connects the first time. I would like to see it do something...anything beside the same as the Hammer. I guess I should not be complaining about extra damage.

Also, if you had the same ability, the chain could be infinitely repeatable (with high degrees of luck). Here, the chain is limited to 1 or 2 big hits.
