Paladins, behold!
Well, I got tired of the low level paladins crying about them being underpowered, or whatnot on silky venom. Here's a post to show you all the things to look forward to as you level!
As a level 44 paladin, I out DPS all offensive DPS classes except bard, unless I have the same song as a bard in the group (which is obviously the case), in which case, I out DPS the bard too. And I hold aggro with my eyes closed. And I can duel/pvp any healer class and not die. And I can run 350 meters from getting jumped by a group of 6 people all within level range of me, getting mezzed, snare'd, stun'd, heals interrupted all along the way, making it a 4:22 walk (I timed it) and not die (I play on Varking, Faction PvP) Paladins get smite. I generate 600 hate off the bat from a PULL. Marshalling cry does more damage than any of the other defensive fighter's cries. Cry of solace...well no other defensive fighter has a group heal war cry. Cry of illumination gives everyone in the group a full endurance bar, and 300 energy. Too much utility? Paladins get more rescues than other defensive classes, and their main one does significantly more damage then war/drk rescues. Paladins finishers don't miss 90% of the time like DRK, costs 9 endurance, and can be used at 15% hp, and does 400% weapon damage + some extra. DRK's hit for 10% of mob's max hp and costs a shit ton of endurance, with a poopie success rate. Yeah the numbers look cool. Congrats on making it onto vg players for highest melee hit. Paladins can single target heal, ae heal, and do a giant lay on hands heal every 5 minutes, for those oh shit moments, which uses no virtue points as long as its not used on a paladin. Utility? Plus they can heal with their rescues, which like to regularly crit. Healing someone for 1k for pocket change endurance. Utility? Paladins also get a 5 second invul bubble on a 2 minute timer, as well as a 4 second group invul for 1 virtue point. Also, Final Stand (10 seconds of invul w/ +50% damage) is 5 virtue points. Virtue point pool is 20 with 5 allocating every hour from level 40+. I suspect the pool will be 25 once I hit 50. Paladins AE Taunt WORKS. Paladins can hold aggro in a spellcaster dps ae group, by just throwing on their shield, defensive aura, with the taunt shield consecration. GG generating hate just by getting hit. Gift of Peace is 30% less hatred generated from melee attacks on your melee partymates, +hate generated from your hate aura. Paladins end game skills between 46-50 (which I'm a few levels from getting) range from...a judgement you can place on a target (most likely ae mobs for greatest use) where everytime someone hits the target, that person gets healed for a 100. We get a hate WIPE. Get a skill making all spells and attacks crit for 16 seconds for the group (Utility). Get a skill that makes all class forms instantly go to max including rogue forms, bmg blood unions, drk, bard songs, what not (UTILITY????). Paladins, hands down, have the most utility out of all tanks. Maybe not at the lower levels, But the pendulum quickly swings in our direction as you get higher. So if you're a paladin, wipe those tears from your face please, because you're the only defensive fighter that can solo 2 4 dot's of equal level, after your group wiped and you're the last one left, then revive them(true story). Edit: Oh that's right. Paladins get revive. Edit2: Oh and featherfall. No tank class would be complete without featherfall. Edit3: Here's an example of utility. In a dungeon, mobs in a group of 3. I judgement lull one, judgement of the envious one to pull (which reduces move and accuracy by 70%, break on hit for 45 seconds, stastically, you should take NO damage if you're wearing a shield. Essentially a cc ability, and also makes it alot easier for cc classes to see which mob you want cc'd. UTILITY?) and then I judgement the one mob that I want everyone to assist on with a -109 STR Debuff, and finish the pull off with a smite. 3 mobs, one lulled, one mezzed, one significantly debuffed off the bat, as a tank. Edit4: And when the shit hits the fan, and your healers are lom, and your casters are oom, you can cast zeal to out dps all your other classes combined, + have close to infinite endurance doing it, especially if you have a tuurgin shaman's endurance buff, or a cleric's renewal. Edit5: God, I keep thinking of more stuff. Paladins defensive aura is the worst you say? Keep in mind, Paladins get a MASSIVE amount of ac in addition to their defensive aura. The aura gives a 100 or so ac, courage gives 450 or so ac + 300 hp, gloriann gives +150 or so ac + 90 or so resists, Sentinel's blessing gives 200 or so ac, strike of gloriann gives another 160 or so ac. That's almost 1k ac by yourself. Oh, and you can have 110 extra STR just with your buffs, champion's self buff for 55str, and vothdar's might strength for a 55 str group buff. And you can stack that with a 24 STR Vothdar buff if you want to top it off. Oh, and we've got chain finishers two patches ago too, so now instead of just doing 350% weapon damage + 300-500 extra, we do it TWICE. Our hate finisher? Generates TWICE as much hatred now. Want some EXTRA damage? Our boon procs for 100 regularly on each hit, with an extra 300'ish every time it crits. I think I'm missing something. Stay tuned for Edit6. Edit6: Oh. Our stances/auras work for the whole group, not just yourself.

Re: Paladins, behold!
Level 40 is when you get the magical ressurection skill, called prayer of life if I recall correctly. Oh and you get a self cast featherfall too called Wings of the Avenger. Weee!

Re: Paladins, behold!
I did not know Paladin's where complaining. I play a Paladin as my Main and right now I'm level 18. So far I have died only 3 times. I have only been in 3 groups, and only once as the Main tank(there was a higher level tank in the group). Even with that when we almost wiped out I saved the day with my argo and healing. I love my dwarf and have a great time soloing and grouping. I can do both with ease. I just use different skills for different. /shrug I like my class, and I can see nothing worng with or underpowered about it.

Honest question here - does that mean you win? Or that you pull the disciple stalemate thing? Quote:

Re: Paladins, behold!
That solo took about 20 minutes in Dargun's.
I don't know what level ranges you are, but a bard ALWAYS generates more DPS than a ranger/rogue from my personal experience, in pve and pvp. And monks aren't even in the league atm. I duel'd a guild bear shammie, and we called it quits after 90 minutes. I duel'd a cleric today, and the fight took about...20-25 minutes.
