Druid concern
All the druid buffs are designed for melee use. Including both wolf forms.
As a primary arcane caster, a typical druid would use int, wis, vit. There is only one buff which includes vitality. Most of the stat bonuses for druid buffs/spells are melee dmg, strength, or dexterity. Compare this to the other arcane casters, it doesnt compare or match up even close. What can druids expect in the future? |

Overall, I agree with you. Buffs should be appropriate to what your class is. This is the first time I have seen this brought up. Good point.

Re: Druid concern
Indeed most druid buffs are meele orientated and infact they do a fine job there. The one that adds a % to proc adds a lot to a fighters DPS. While our greatest self buff is Moon Talisman without any doubt, the AC, HP and Dex buffs still help when being hit as it adds to your evade stats as well as the damage taken. Its not much but still valuable.
Yet I agree fully that the druids meele orientation does not really fit into the concept of us wearing simple cloth armor. Add the new aggro reducer into consideration that needs you to be within a 10m range of the target mobs and it becomes even more oddly. I guess its because of the archtype system where every arcane caster is to wear robes automatically. As for the future of us druids, Mensis, Druid Class Rep at TTH, interviewed Michael "Avair" Mann, the lead designer for the druid class. The article is an interesting read, contains quite some information esp. what is currently planned for the druid and can be found here. |

Re: Druid concern
while i agree that druid is not the best class for its buffs i hve to say it is THE most soloable class and makes up for it in many other ways to get buffed to the nines would make this even more overpowered than it already is imho. There are not many if any at all other classes that can kill a 7 level above them 5 dot mob yet the druid makes light work of it and i think before they look at buffs they should maybe look at grabbing a nerf stick whacking the druid about a bit then the druid buffs would fit in with its new role in a group as an offensive caster that can buff the tank etc while nuking and dotting for a good amount.
This is by no means just a jip at druids as you will see from my sig but if you want it one way you have to accept the otherside which should imho be a good whacking with a nerf tree let alone stick ![]() Ialiliet 34 monk Frerra 41 tailor Miyzia 43 druid Test server. |
