Necro Pet PvP damage

I know Test does not have open pvp, but hopefully someone has some feedback from duels. Necro pet's damage in PvP right now is fairly high, but I hope Sigil does not overkill this like I've seen in many other instances.

Now that pets can be attacked, things aren't quite as overbalanced as they previously were.

Necros are still far over powered at least the damage their pets do. Playing on the FFA server makes me wonder what the devs were thinking with the necro pet or were they? Druid starfalls used to be the same way although with a long long recast on them and were nerved to oblivion. Hope the necro pets get reduced as well to be reasonable.

Re: Necro Pet PvP damage

They wrote in the patchnotes that the pet is targetable but I assure you it is totally not. Necro can kill a whole group one by one and the only person able to attack pet is the one being attacked and not at all times too sometimes you get attacked and pet is in your defensive target. Inviz should drop once in combat so necro to comand his pet have to come out of the inviz MOST classes dont even have a chance to fight back - they just get killed by pet with 2-3 shots.

Re: Necro Pet PvP damage

I play on Varking and the necro pets are out of control, even after the first nerf a pet (4 levels higher than me [level 44]) hit me 2803 damage out of my 3900 hps. This was not a crit, but a special ability given by a graft. Nothing in the game hits as hard in pvp. This is not an isolated incident either, as many of my friends have seen similar amounts or more, moreover they are buggy and can't be targeted. The fact that pets attacking does not break invis makes this class a veritable nightmare and broken in more ways than one. Many Necro players exploit these bugs to the fullest and I think something should be done.

Re: Necro Pet PvP damage

I don't PvP, because I really really suck at it, but I'm wondering. If you kill the Necro, does the pet go away? If so, this seems like a viable tactic. Of course, if the pet is hitting with those kind of numbers it seems like you wouldn't have time to kill the Necro.

I guess these early months of the game is what this is all for, right? Finding these things out. Honestly, I understand and sympathize with why they had to release early, but I really wish Vanguard could have been in Beta for another 4 to 6 months.

Yes the pets go away if the necro dies. How ever the necro can remain invis the entire time his pet is attacking. At one point not sure if it has been fixed they were able to remain mounted also while the pet attacked.

The necro stays invis? For PvE maybe I can understand that, but not for PvP. Unfortunately this is one of those instances where we have a conflict between PvE and PvP. This will be interesting to see how this is resolved.

In pvp they used to be able to reamain mounted, I am not sure if they were using the escape key exploit or not.
