Hey guys, just downloaded that gimp program and made myself an avatar. Anyone mind hosting it for me. All this stuff is New to me so bear with me while i try to figure it out. Next task sig, which im guesing is going to be much more complicated and frustrating

Sigs are fun, I find - half the battle is layout and ledgability. Best thing to do is start playing with layers and layer effects, find a suitable background and mess around. I've been making sigs for a few years now, and I still haven't done much beyond brushing the surface (it's only in the sigs I have made for VGF I have started messing about with texture effects, for example).

That's very... striking :shock: It's a shame about the aliasing in the original screenshot. Did you take the 1600x1200 version and scale it down? I find I can achieve better results than the scaled down shots Sigil put up, especially using Irfanview ( http://www.irfanview.com/ ). I use Irfanview for all of my cropping, scaling and final conversion to JPEG as it is dramatically superior to Photoshop in these regards.

Failing that, careful application of blur along the area of aliasing can lessen it considerably.

i still havn't gotten around to even starting my sig yet.... downloaded gimp yesterday but im so busy i don't have time to sit down and actually do something that takes time >.<
