well I was pumped about ES4 but it sounds just as exploitable and destroyable as Morrowind was. :?

It is. It's quite straightforward to enchant a weapon with which you can lay waste to legions of enemies - 1 second duration AoE paralysis for example. Takes them a few seconds to get back up again.

Ultimately you need to limit yourself or it gets dull. Just using Umbra now I am having much more fun, the weapon damage is decent but the lack of magical damage makes combat last a lot longer. I deliberately don't carry soul gems so that when Umbra steals the soul there is nowhere to store it

I have been looking at this for awhile but have yet to purchase (due to a low bankroll) but ive just started working and ive been wondering if it is worth buying...any opiopns are appreciated

I can't guarantee you'll like it, but everyone I've ever talked to that played it has. I think it's worth it, although I got burnt out of it after only a few weeks. But I think it's the kind of game that I'll pick back up every once and a while and play through again.

ive heard mostly positives about it, just wanted a few more opinions...i think ill go out and buy it tommorow, i need something to occupy my time

Yes. Don't go above 25% chameleon for a start - anything higher and sneak becomes practically invisibility with no downsides (you can hit people without it dropping, for example). Don't go overboard with paralysis either, it trivialises one-on-one battles - my Staff of Paralysis has an 8 second duration and with that I can kill some of the hardest enemies in the game before they can stand up again.

The game is very exploitable if that is the path you wish to go, personally I think it's more fun if the AI stands a chance against you

Also, make the difficulty a little tougher than the default 50% :P

i agree...its never as much fun with exploits, i like my games challenging and being able to kill things without much effort kind of ruins the game for me, i dont see the point of playing a game that provides no challenge

I have the collectors edition of ES4 on the shelf waiting for my Alienware laptop to arrive. I am over in Kuwait now so I am very happy a single player rpg is out. I cant wait to try out ES4 from all the posts I have been reading from people all over the net. It sounds like the game is going to be outstanding. [/b]
